Recently I had the privilege of having Commandment 11 come to our state correctional institution to minister in a special prison concert, and I was very impressed and blessed by the ministry of Scott Jacobs and Philip Robinson. These men truly have a heart for ministering to others. They are very talented men who have a heart to see God’s kingdom advanced.
The inmates were greatly blessed to have them and look forward to when they come again. I highly recommend Commandment 11.

Scattered within the Christian music genre and industry are few artists who have found a strong balance between artistic excellence and Scriptural integrity. Add to that the dimension of personal humility and the number of ministry servants becomes even more limited. However, such is the case with Commandment 11 members Scott Jacobs and Philip Robinson. Their self-written songs have the fingerprint of God’s Word seasoned with ear-pleasing harmonies in the same vein as popular recording artists Philips, Craig & Dean or Shane & Shane. Keeping their finger on the pulse of the next generation and encouraging all believers is just half the desire of their ministry. Purposeful evangelism represents the other half and a better marriage could not be found in such a ministry. Any church or youth ministry seeking a refreshing, biblically-based worship team would be well-advised to consider the ministry of Commandment 11.

Scott Jacobs comes equipped with the distinct advantage of Godly parentage and a family deeply involved in Christian music. Scott's commitment to Christ is apparent in everything his heart pursues. The call of God rests strongly on his life, his ministry and his music, and audiences across the land respond to his message of hope through consistent Christian living.                     Philip Robinson steps up to the microphone with extensive experience in the Christian music world, having sung with several excellent professional groups during his remarkable career. His vocal interpretations are both refreshing and imaginative, as he sets to music the timeless story of Jesus and His love.                                                                                               These two young men merge their talents to form Commandment 11. The purpose of their efforts is to proclaim the claims of Christ and to see lives changed through a personal encounter with Him. Their lyrics are based upon sound Bible doctrine and their songs never play the game called, "Hunt the Message".                                                                                  Having spent the last fifty years of my life on the road in music ministry, I have always hoped and prayed that the Lord would raise up young men to keep the Gospel of Jesus Christ alive in the generations to follow, through great Christian music. Commandment 11 is such a group and I couldn't be more delighted to recommend their ministry to local Christian leaders desiring to bear an impact on their communities. They will fortify and enhance the ministry you have begun in your town and will leave no negative aftertaste.                                                                                                                                       I'm blessed for having been exposed to their unique music ministry and consider it a privilege to be counted among their friends.

"Just recently, we had Commandment 11 here at our church...two guys who are gifted musically, but who, more importantly, have a real message to share. They use music, obviously, but also effective sketches, verses, real-life experiences...and hearts that are clearly devoted to the Lord and His church. Their style is a great blend between contemporary and traditional music and from the various age groups that attended from our church, I heard nothing but positive comments. We have a 92 year old couple that attended, and they asked me when Commandment 11 is scheduled to return. My son, Ryan, who is 9, 'forced' me to buy a CD and we've been listening to it in the car ever since. I don't recommend many groups, but this one is definitely worth it! It was the first time in a long time that I, too, walked away from a concert with more than just a "good time"

Our church had Scott and Phil come and minister to us on a Sunday morning. They really touched our hearts and minds with their music, words and drama. Everyone I talked to wanted to know, "When are they coming back?" These two men are the real thing.

Do not hesitate to schedule "Commandment 11" ministries. Their presentation is top notch, their vocals are superb and their songwriting is fantastic, but most of all, their lives reflect their ministry. Commandment 11's songwriting skills, musical style and production quality reminds me of "Phillips, Craig & Dean" and they were a huge hit in both our Traditional and Contemporary services. I would tell everyone to get them on the calender now while they are on their way up. In just a few short years they will be household names and scheduling them will not be quite as easy.

I was introduced to Commandment 11 through a relationship with one of it's members, Phil Robinson. Phil and his family began attending the church I pastor a couple of years ago and quickly became a vital part of the ministry and fellowship here. Their spirit has always been helpful and supportive and their faith alive and real.  As a pastor, it is always important to me to know what I can about the life that the singing groups that might minister to our congregation live. If they are to lead our people in worship and ministry, I like to know that their relationships with the Lord are vibrant and genuine. I can speak with great confidence for these two men. Scott is also a strong man in the Lord and carries a deep commitment to minister in righteousness and under the authority of the leadership in whose church they might find themselves. In short, they are solid, their ministry is practical and anointed, and their purpose is clean. They will bless your people.

I’ve known Scott Jacobs all my life, and Philip Robinson for the past five years, and I know that these men have both experienced a unique call to ministry in their lives. Scott & Phil (Commandment 11) have embraced their call with a humility that is too seldom seen in “music ministries” traveling today. This fact is very evident in their ministry as they share their hearts and lives through God-inspired music, powerful drama, and challenging preaching. I believe you would be blessed to have Commandment 11 come share their gifts and their heart at your church or event. If you do your part, they will do theirs, knowing that God will definitely do His. Let’s all strive to see people’s lives changed by the power of the cross. All the praise and glory be to God alone!!

For several years my Pastor and I had been praying asking the Lord to rise up a group that was solid in their Christian faith and had a more “middle of the road” sound. God answered our prayer in Commandment 11. Their sound was neither strong contemporary nor  southern gospel. Their sound is not limited to a style. The unifying principal was their love for God’s word as much as their love for writing and making music. When they came and worshiped with us, they touched the lives of senior adults, median adults, and students alike. Scott and Phil are solid and we look forward to them worshipping with us again.
